Intimate Illuminations was born out of trying to solve a simple problem: find a candle for wax play that was the perfect temperature for the skin - hot enough to give you the unique sensation that wax play offers, but cool enough to be gentle on the skin. After many attempts with candles that said they were “low temp” (but actually burning quite hot), I set out to solve this problem myself! Through trial and error, I wanted to make a candle that was that perfect mix of low melting point and actually not burning on the skin. And I finally found the right blend that burns so low, it’s like a warm hug on your skin! And better yet, they offer a nice firm finish that shells up on the skin, which gives a satisfying crack and makes for easy removal with a knife or plastic card. Our blend is a mixture of soy and paraffin wax poured into spouted glass jars that give a nice pour and allow for easy clean-up. Plus they glow in UV light, which makes for a completely unique experience.
